Ecotourism in Jamaica

I would like to do ecotourism in Jamaica because it is an excellent place for me first of all I love go to the beach. second I like practice water sport because in my country I used to practiced it a lot and I think that all the tourism who go to Jamaica go to a luxury hotel, but I would like to share with local people, eat local people and help to preserve the nature. I hope travel to Jamaica the next year, I haven't decided jet if I go like a ecotourism or not.

Canada Day

last long weekend we celebrated Canada day, I went with my family and some friends to camping in Fairmont hot spring in BC it was amazing and beautiful. It was mi first camping in Canada and I enjoyed share with my family and friends in the nature, but the weather wasn't good because the second day was raining. Now  I want to go to camping waterton lakes national park in august

Future Plans

When this semester finish I'm going to take a short vacation and them I'm going to take the fall course in the ESL program in U of C. The first week after i finish this couse I will travel to Tampa, Florida because I want to go to the beach and visit my bother then I'll return to Calgary and study hard because I want to do the IELTS in September. I'm so happy for mi trip, but I'm litter worry because after that I have to study because the test is very difficult

Equality

Off course I think  men and women are equal and we should have the same rights and duties, unfortunately we know that it is different in some religions and culture. Nowaday in my country and my culture the women and men are equal, but it used to be different years ago and it changed with female movement. In Venezuela men and women have the same kind of jobs, play sport, drive and go to the parties. In my opinion that is good because we are human and we should choose what we you want, and we      have to be treat in a equal way.

Boys and Girls

The way how to treat boys and girls is different in all cultures and countries. In Venezuela is the same, when the kids grown up have different way to treat. For example if is a boy some times the father is very strict and the boy spend the most time with other boys and his father,  doing  "boys" things. If is a girl the parents are less strict and more sensitive and the girl spend the time with her mother and female friends. Also the kids have differents toys and plays. In my case when I was a child my father was very very strict with my, I only could play with boy toys and play sport. nowaday I disagreed with that I think the kids should  be free to choose Their lives and be happy.

My Brother

When I was growing up, my role model was my older brother, his name is Alberto. Alberto is smart, he always cleared up everything that I ask him. When I couldn't work out my problem, he helped me out, and now he is still doing that. I remember my first day in the school he picked me up and I was crying. I said I want to give up and he told me don't worry today was your first day tomorrow will be better. I love my brother and nowaday I call him all time

Obsession Bad or Good

I think that being an obsessive person can be bad or good, but in most cases it is usually bad. I believe that nothing in the life is perfect only god. For that reason if you think you can do something perfect that is impossible however we should try to do the best possible in our life, work and family. Also there are people who are obsessed with other people and it is bad. Of course there are some obsession that are good because doesn't hurt anyone and yourself like be organized etc. I think we have to be careful I think about it

Three Cups of Tea

I would like read Three Cups of Tea because I think it is a interesting book, and is a real story I like that kind of stor. Actually, I don't like read even in Spanish, but the last semester I read The Hunchback of notredame and I liked it but I think that this new book will be better because is more interesting, and the hunchback I think is more for kids

Last long weekend I went with my family and some friends to a museum of buffalo called Head-smashed-in Buffalo jump                 World Heritage site, it was good, but a little boring

Credit Cards Fraud

In my country is common this kind of fraud and all people can be victims of a con man. This fraud is that some people call you sometime in your office, home or cell phone numbers and they offer you a cheap package may be a vacation or a promotion in the bank these people impersonate an employee of the bank or the travel agency depend on the case. They try to convince customers to give the numbers of credit cards, when you give the numbers they hand up the phone. Then you check your bank account you notice that someone stole your money of your credit cards. Five years ago my father was victims of this kind of fraud someone called him when he was working and stole his money, after that my father called the bank, but the employee of the bank said that they didn't do nothing only block the cards. i remember that my father was angry because he had to pay the money.

Hi I'm Gerardo, I'm 26 years old, I'm from Venezuela and I'm a dentist. I came to Calgary 5 month ago, and I studied in the U of C the last semester. I am learning English because I want to do a master dregree. After I finish the master, I going to back my country and work in my dental clinic. In my free time I like to ride bike, play baseball, and spend time with my family and friends.
